Meet Our Radiologists 
H. Burt Spangler, M.D.

H. Burt Spangler, M.D. is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.  He attended The University of Tennessee and received his M.D. degree through the University of Tennessee Medical Units in Memphis, Tennessee.  Dr. Spangler completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at The University of Oklahoma and Baylor College of Medicine.  He has been fellowship trained in neuroradiology, MRI, Vascular Doppler and Coronary CT Angiography.  In his 36 years of Radiology, Dr. Spangler has held many positions including assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine and at The University of Texas Medical School.  Dr. Spangler is currently in private practice.
 
L. Paul Gerson, M.D.

L. Paul Gerson, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.  After undergraduate work at Tulane University, Dr. Gerson graduated from the medical school at University of Texas Medical Branch and completed his internship at the University of Iowa.  He received his radiology and neuroradiology training at M.D. Anderson Hospital.  For over 30 years he has been on staff at Texas Children’s Hospital, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital and the Texas Heart Institute, serving as Chief of Neurororadiology.  He is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology; American College of Radiology and numerous subspecialty organizations devoted to head, neck and spinal radiology.  Dr. Gerson is currently in private practice.
 
Kevin E. Legendre, M.D.

Kevin E. Legendre, M.D. is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology and is also licensed in six additional states. He attended the University of Texas Medical School in Houston where he received his M.D. degree and then completed his internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.  Dr. Legendre completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Tulane University Medical Center. He then continued his training at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. where he completed a musculoskeletal and MRI fellowship. Dr. Legendre stayed on as Faculty at Georgetown University Medical Center before returning to his home town of Houston.  He is a member of several professional society organizations, and is currently in private practice.
